My Definition Of Holistic Health And How It Can Better Your Life!
If you asked 10 people what they think the definition of holistic health was, you would probably get 10 different answers.
With that being said, don't assume that my definition is the one and only way to think of holistic health. While I think it's a very solid definition and can help you enjoy a much better life, that is completely up to you.
So What Is Your Definition Of Holistic Health?
I want to mention that I'm not strictly going to talk about health as in "food" or "how you feel". My definition of holistic health is slightly different than that.
If I were to put it into 1 phrase, I would simply say that holistic health is the blended combination of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
If you're lacking in one of these areas you would have a kink in the chain and without a balance you're going to find yourself feeling distraught in some area of your life.
At a very young age (19, I'm 22 now) I realized that if I wanted to be successful in life I needed to find a balance. For example, I couldn't just be rich, but I also had to be physically in shape. I couldn't just be strong-willed, but I also had to have a firm spiritual connection.
Of course this is just me and some people aren't spiritual whatsoever, but I find that it helps tremendously in many different ways.
Having a definition of holistic health in my mind that makes me create a balance in life will ultimately help me in becoming ultra-successful in whatever I try to do.
I know people who are in great physical shape but mentally and emotionally are a complete wreck. I know people who are extremely grounded mentally and emotionally, but are in horrible physical condition.
You may have heard of the phrase "You're only as strong as your weakest link". That phrase is something that, if you're having trouble staying balanced, you should post up wherever you can put it.
Most people have at least a decent spiritual connection, are mentally and emotionally stable (for the most part at least), but have a very hard time with their physical health.
This is something that hits home with me because I'm always trying to help people understand that it's really not that hard to get down to the weight you want to be at. All you have to do is read the right information and put it to use!
In thinking about my definition of holistic health, physical is probably the weakest link for most people. If you like my definition of holistic health and think it makes sense, take a look at your own life.
What is your weakest link?
Whatever it is, take the time right now before you do anything else, and take action to turn it around immediately.
